CUMULUS MEDIA NETWORKS syndicated property The MICHAEL BAISDEN Show has announced the recovery of 14-year-old DETAIJA JONES of BALTIMORE on MAY 25th. The recovery marks the 12th child found through The MICHAEL BAISDEN Show’s “Missing Child of the Week” segment. DETAIJA had been missing since FEBRUARY 8th.
The “Missing Child of the Week” segment is a partnership with the BLACK AND MISSING FOUNDATION. Profiles of missing African-American, Hispanic and Asian children are announced daily to the over seven million MICHAEL BAISDEN Show listeners and also appear on the show’s website and social media outlets.
“Working with BLACK AND MISSING FOUNDATION has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had,” BAISDEN said. “There is nothing more traumatizing than losing your child and not knowing if they are alive or dead. It is extremely rewarding to have been able to assist in locating our missing children. Not only does it bring relief to the families but it gives hope to those who have been separated from their children. If we work together we can bring many more of our precious children home safely.”
“We rejoice each time one of our children is brought home safely,” BLACK AND MISSING FOUNDATION Founders DERRICA WILSON and NATALIE WILSON said. “The ‘Missing Child of the Week’ segment has proven to be a successful tool in returning these missing children with their families.”
