Atlanta Police officers are investigating the disappearance of a missing 24-year-old woman who has not been seen since traveling to Atlanta.
Inzinga Barge is a 5’9″ Black woman with a dark skin complexion and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue and white flower dress, wedge heels, red nails and a short afro. Barge also has standard earlobe piercings and a belly button piercing.
Atlanta Police recovered Barge’s dead phone around 11 a.m. on June 24 in what used to be a flower bed on a sidewalk near the jail. The next day after the phone was charged, the reporting officer received a call from Barge’s ex-boyfriend who told police that Barge had been reported missing by her family in Arizona.
Family and friends of Barge say she left Arizona on June 6 to attend Lil Baby’s “WHAM World Tour” show in Atlanta on June 7. According to an incident report obtained by 11Alive, the victim’s mother Kenya Barge told officers her daughter was admitted to Grady Hospital between June 8-16 due to a mental health disorder she was not aware of.
Despite trying to coordinate with Grady Hospital, her mother was not contacted before or after Barge was released leaving Kenya Barge unable to bring her daughter home.
The Black and Missing Foundation is reporting that Barge was released from Grady Hospital on June 16 and has not been seen since. Barge’s family lost complete contact with her when she was disconnected from their family group chat on June 15.
Officers were unable to locate any arrest history for Barge in either Atlanta City Jail or Fulton County Jail. Anyone with information on Inzinga Barge’s disappearance should contact Atlanta Police Department or Buckeye Police Department.
