BAMFI Enterprises and Black and Missing Foundation Set Season 3 Premiere of Award-Winning “Untold Stories” Podcast; Featured Cases Include Broadway Star Zelig Williams
National spotlight to shine on overlooked cold cases starting February 18; new season explores the disappearance of “Hamilton” star and a decade-old Mississippi mystery.
(Hyattsville, M.D.): BAMFI Enterprises, in partnership with the Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI), today announced the February 18 launch of Season 3 of its award-winning podcast series, Untold Stories: Black and Missing.
Born out of the feedback and lived experiences of the families BAMFI serves, the podcast provides a mission-critical platform for cases that have been overlooked by traditional media and law enforcement. Season 3 continues this work by leveraging BAMFI’s exclusive IP, data, and direct access to families to bring the national spotlight to cases that demand attention.
“In each episode, the series takes a closer look at the facts, peeling back the layers by talking to families and reviewing past media and police reports,” said BAMFI ENT Managing Partners Natalie Wilson and Derrica Wilson. “We are focused on putting the pieces of the puzzle together to identify what might have been missed. This process is designed to bring fresh eyes to the case and help generate the leads necessary to find answers.”
The stories to be featured this season include:
- T’Montez Hurt: Investigating the 19-year-old’s disappearance in Kansas City and the critical gaps in mental health-related law enforcement response.
- Zelig Williams: The search for the Broadway dancer (Hamilton, MJ the Musical) who disappeared in South Carolina under mysterious circumstances.
- Ja’Niyah McMichael: A 13-year-old Gary, Indiana, girl missing for over a year; an episode exploring the “runaway” bias that frequently delays critical Amber Alerts.
- Myra Lewis: A 10-year retrospective on the disappearance of 2-year-old Myra Lewis, one of Mississippi’s most enduring mysteries.
As part of a broader slate of projects at BAMFI ENT, Season 3 is designed to move the needle for families who are still desperately searching for their missing loved ones. Our work ensures these lives are never overlooked and that the stories of the missing are shared with the authenticity, dignity, and focus on resolution they deserve.
