Helping Spread the Word:

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people are reported missing in the U.S.—yet cases involving people of color often receive little to no media attention and law enforcement resources to help find them. The ‘Hope Without Boundaries’ 5K, hosted by the Black and Missing Foundation, is not just a race—it is a powerful, community-driven effort to raise national awareness and demand equitable attention for a critical human rights issue.

This key event also serves as the organization’s largest fundraiser, dedicated to bringing awareness to the disproportionate number of missing persons of color and providing support to impacted families, all to expand our movement to #HelpUsFindUs.

Media coverage of this event helps bring long-overdue visibility to overlooked cases, amplifies the voices of families still searching for loved ones, and highlights the people working tirelessly on their behalf for justice. Covering this event is an opportunity to be part of the solution.

Proceeds will aid in funding for families of the missing, flyer distribution, financial support, victim recovery, and burial service assistance. To learn more about the event, visit hwb5k.org.
