Black and Missing Foundation Stands with Congressional Black Caucus Members as They Urge Feds to Investigate Missing Girls of Color

The Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI) would like to commend the Congressional Black Caucus chairman Cedric Richmond, D-La., and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton for requesting an investigation in the disappearance of young girls of color across the nation.

In a letter dated March 21, 2017, chairman Richmond and Del. Holmes Norton called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey to “devote the resources necessary to determine whether these developments {of our missing Black and Latina girls} are an anomaly or whether they are indicative of an underlying trend that must be addressed.”

BAMFI looks forward to partnering with the members of the Congressional Black Caucus to appeal to federal administrations for aid in protecting and returning these young women to their families.
