BAMFI Enterprises Brings Home Silver at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards for Relisha Rudd Short Doc
HYATTSVILLE, Md. — BAMFI Enterprises has won a Silver Anthem Award for its short doc, The Vanishing of Relisha Rudd: A Cold Case Reexamined, in the Documentary or Film category for Education, Art & Culture at the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. This marks the fifth award for the short doc, adding to its three Silver Telly Awards and a Communicator Award.
Selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, the short doc joins this year’s winners in a global competition that received more than 2,500 entries from 43 countries.
“Thank you to the Anthem judges for this incredible honor and our BAMFI community for showing up and showing out with your votes, shares and support!” said Natalie Wilson and Derrica Wilson, managing partners of BAMFI Enterprises and founders of the Black and Missing Foundation.
“We’re celebrating this moment together and using it to bring more eyes to Relisha’s story. That’s our mission: visibility that helps families of missing people of color find answers.”
Produced in partnership with the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMFI), the short doc revisits the disappearance of Relisha Rudd, the 8-year-old Washington, D.C., girl who vanished in 2014. Through interviews with family members, investigators, journalists and advocates, it brings Relisha’s story to new audiences and renews attention to the ongoing search.
BAMFI Enterprises invites supporters to celebrate by watching and sharing the short doc on YouTube at @bamfiorg. Every share is another opportunity to reach someone who may have information.
