Black and Missing Foundation Inc Teams Up With the Huffington Post to Bring Awareness to Missing Persons of Color

(Landover Hills, MD) –Black and Missing Foundation, Inc (BAMFI) announced today that it has teamed up with the Huffington Post in a nationwide effort to help find and bring attention to the hundreds of thousands of missing persons of color.

Profiles of missing African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and Native Americans will be featured on a regular basis on the HuffPost Black Voices and HuffPost Crime sites and its social media outlets. The profiles will be provided from BAMFI’s database and will be accompanied with information on the missing person.

“The number of missing minorities is astronomical,” said Black and Missing Foundation, Inc Founders Derrica Wilson and Natalie Wilson. “We are confident this new partnership will have a great impact and will help us resolve cases, reunite more missing individuals with their families, and keep our communities safe. We are committed to doing even more as the partnership grows.”

“With so many missing people of color, and so little media attention given to each individual tragedy, there is a moral imperative for those of us in the media to use all the tools at our disposal to bring about a change,” said Arianna Huffington, president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group. “With this partnership, we’re committing to using the power of the HuffPost platform to bring more attention to the countless missing people of color — children, parents, brothers, sisters, friends — who might otherwise be overlooked.”
